John Blackwell, MD
Originally from Aspen Park, Colorado, Dr. Blackwell earned his B.S. in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1991. He then moved to the mountains near Vail, Colorado, where he worked during the summers in land surveying and construction, and during the winters as a ski patroller at Beaver Creek Resort. In 1995, he matriculated to the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver and received his M.D. in 1999, graduating a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his one year internship in general surgery, four year residency in diagnostic radiology and one year fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. After successful completion of his training in June 2005, he joined Meridian Radiology Associates. Dr. Blackwell is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
